Top Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers in China for Canadian Multifamily and Condo Projects (2026)

The exchange-listed Chinese kitchen cabinet manufacturers we checked for Canadian multifamily and condo projects are six groups: Zbom Home Collection, GoldenHome Living, Suofeiya Home Collection, Oppein Home Group, Guangdong Piano Customized Furniture and Nanjing Olo Home Furnishing. Only three of them — Zbom, GoldenHome and Suofeiya — mention Canada in their 2025 annual reports. For a Canadian package, the choice of factory matters less than two things. Every composite wood panel in the cabinets must be covered by a declaration of certification under Canada’s Formaldehyde Emissions from Composite Wood Products Regulations (SOR/2021-148, known as CANFER), and the cabinets must carry a label in both English and French.

This guide is for developers, general contractors, builders, commercial project owners, interior design and construction companies and FF&E solution providers delivering condominium towers, purpose-built rental buildings and other multifamily projects in Canada. Which Listed Chinese Cabinet Makers Report Relevant Business in Their 2025 Annual Reports?

We name a manufacturer only after confirming its listing on the Shanghai or Shenzhen stock exchange and reading its 2025 annual report, published in March or April 2026. Every statement below about a company’s products and markets comes from that report. If a report says nothing about Canada, we say nothing about Canada. The list has no ranking and no scores. A listing puts a company’s scale on the public record, but it does not mean the company’s export line is set up for a particular Canadian project.

Zbom Home Collection (SSE: 603801), Hefei

• Main lines: integrated kitchen cabinets, custom wardrobes, and wood doors and wall panels.
• What the 2025 report says: overseas revenue grew 77.73%, and overseas business covers more than 50 countries. Its project business covers North America, the Middle East, Australia and Southeast Asia. The report says Zbom has won benchmark projects in the United States, Canada and Qatar, and that its factory in Thailand began production in 2025.
• Evidence to request: which plant, in China or in Thailand, will make the order; the declaration of certification for each panel product type; and a sample of the bilingual label.

GoldenHome Living (SSE: 603180), Xiamen

• Main lines: integrated kitchen cabinets (its largest line by revenue), integrated wardrobes and wood doors.
• What the 2025 report says: overseas revenue fell 11.27%, which the report puts down to US tariff policy. It also says Australia, Canada and Southeast Asia grew. Overseas project work is mainly on an FOB or project-agent basis, and satellite factories in Dallas and Malaysia began trial production in 2025.
• Evidence to request: the panel mill’s declaration of certification for each board type; whether any doors or panels are wood-veneered in-house; and cut-out drawings for the specific appliance models in the project schedule.

Suofeiya Home Collection (SZSE: 002572), Guangzhou

• Main lines: wardrobes and related products (77.77% of 2025 revenue), kitchen cabinets and accessories (12.90%), and wood doors.
• What the 2025 report says: the company signed 28 new overseas dealers, and its dealer business covers more than 40 countries and regions, with Canada named first. The report also says Suofeiya supplied 177 international projects in 2025, working with overseas developers and contractors. It is most relevant when closets, laundry cabinets and kitchens share one finish schedule.
• Evidence to request: the declaration of certification for each panel product type; one finish and edge-banding specification covering the kitchen and wardrobe items; and the label artwork in English and French.

Oppein Home Group (SSE: 603833), Guangzhou

• Main lines: kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, bathroom products and wood doors. Kitchen cabinets and wardrobes together made up more than 80% of main business revenue, and the company produced 607,936 sets of integrated kitchen cabinets in 2025.
• What the 2025 report says: its channels include a developer project business and an export business covering overseas projects and retail. The report does not mention Canada.
• Evidence to request: which plant and which export team will handle the order; the declaration of certification for every panel product type; and a full-size sample unit.

Guangdong Piano Customized Furniture (SZSE: 002853), Zhongshan, and Nanjing Olo Home Furnishing (SSE: 603326), Nanjing

• Main lines: custom kitchen cabinets made up 49.17% of Piano’s 2025 revenue, and custom wardrobes most of the rest. Olo reports integrated kitchen cabinets alongside a larger whole-house custom line.
• What the 2025 reports say: Piano reports a developer project business and a first overseas sales line of 0.88% of revenue. Olo’s regional revenue breakdown lists only regions in mainland China. Neither report mentions Canada. We include them because they are listed kitchen manufacturers, not because either has a Canadian record.
• Evidence to request: an export packing specification, the declaration of certification for each panel product type, and a sample bilingual label.

Private factories that build to the client’s drawings also make export kitchens. They do not publish audited accounts, so they are judged on product evidence: panel certificates, edge-banding and drilling lines, hardware invoices and a full-size sample. What Does CANFER Require When Kitchen Cabinets Are Imported from China?

CANFER is made under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. It was published in the Canada Gazette, Part II on July 7, 2021 and came into force 18 months later. Environment and Climate Change Canada states that since January 7, 2023 no one may import, sell or offer for sale a composite wood product containing formaldehyde unless it complies. The current consolidated text includes the SOR/2024-256 amendments. These are the points that matter for a kitchen package:

• Cabinets are finished goods. A finished good is any product that contains a composite wood panel or laminated product and is sold to an end-user. Composite wood panels are hardwood plywood, particleboard, MDF and thin MDF.
• Emission limits. Section 6 sets 0.05 ppm for hardwood plywood, 0.09 ppm for particleboard, 0.11 ppm for MDF, 0.13 ppm for thin MDF (8 mm or less) and 0.05 ppm for laminated products. The test method is ASTM E1333, or ASTM D6007 where equivalence has been established.
• Certification can come through TSCA Title VI. Under section 19, a panel manufacturer can issue a declaration of certification if the product type is certified under US TSCA Title VI, or if a third-party certifier accredited to ISO/IEC 17065 has confirmed it under CANFER. On request, an importer of finished goods must give the Minister a copy of the declaration for the panels in the goods. What Must the CANFER Label and Import Records Show?

Section 21 puts the labelling duty on the manufacturer or importer of the finished goods, so the label wording should be agreed with the factory before production starts.

• Bilingual label. Under section 21, the goods, their bundle or their packaging must show the manufacturer’s, importer’s or seller’s name, the month and year of manufacture, and either “TSCA Title VI compliant / conforme au titre VI de la TSCA” or “CANFER compliant / conforme au CANFER”. Section 25 requires the label in English and French, with letters at least 2 mm high. Products whose largest surface is 929 square centimetres or less need no label (section 23).
• Records and reporting. An importer of finished goods keeps a record of the purchase date for five years in Canada. It also keeps a written statement from the supplier that the products are CANFER or TSCA Title VI compliant (section 30). Under section 31, it must give the Minister its name, contact details and role within 60 days of starting to import.
• Wood-veneered panels. Under CANFER, a laminated product is a wood veneer glued to a core by a maker of component parts or finished goods. This covers a cabinet factory veneering its own doors. Section 33 delays most of the rules for laminated products until five years after the Regulations came into force, which is January 2028. Section 7(4) removes the primary testing requirement where the core already meets the limits and the veneer is bonded with phenol-formaldehyde or no-added-formaldehyde resin.

In practice, before cutting starts the factory should list every panel product type used in the order: carcass board, door substrate, shelves and back panels. Each one needs a matching declaration from the panel mill. The Chinese E1 and E0 classes are compared with North American limits in formaldehyde standards for cabinets from China.

Which Other Canadian Rules Affect a Condo Kitchen Package?

Clearance above cooktops. The National Building Code of Canada 2020 is a model code, which provinces and territories adopt as written or with changes. Article 9.10.22.2 requires cabinetry directly above a cooktop to be at least 750 mm above the burners or elements. This can be reduced to 600 mm if the cabinetry is noncombustible or protected by a metal hood that projects 125 mm beyond it. Article 9.10.22.3 requires protection for combustible cabinets within 450 mm of the cooktop. These articles sit in Part 9, which applies to buildings of three storeys or less with a building area of up to 600 square metres. Take the clearances from the project drawings, not from a factory catalogue.

Electrical parts. Under-cabinet lighting, LED drivers and outlets are approved under provincial rules. In Ontario, for example, O. Reg. 438/07 prohibits selling or using an electrical product unless it has been approved. One way to get approval is certification by a body accredited under the Standards Council of Canada Act, with that body’s mark on the product. It is usually simpler to specify these items separately and have the factory prepare the cabinets to receive them.

Trade remedy measures. On the Canada Border Services Agency’s Measures in force list dated September 17, 2026, kitchen cabinets do not appear. However, two items often shipped with kitchens do, both subject to anti-dumping and countervailing measures. One is stainless steel sinks from China with drawn bowls within a defined volume range (hand-fabricated sinks are excluded). The other is decorative and other non-structural plywood from China. If sinks or spare plywood panels travel as separate line items, have the importer’s customs broker check them against these product definitions before ordering.

How Does a Canadian Kitchen Package Move from Drawings to Containers?

1. Shop drawings. The project’s kitchen elevations and appliance and finish schedules become factory shop drawings. Framed or frameless construction is fixed here; see framed vs frameless kitchen cabinets for projects.
2. Panel declarations and label. These are collected and approved before cutting starts.
3. Full-size sample. One complete kitchen of each type is approved before bulk production.
4. Inspection before shipment. When production is finished, the order goes through inspection by our own team at the factory before shipment, with photo and video records. An inspection report goes to the client before the balance is paid.
5. Full containers. Sometimes, on a large project, the kitchen cabinets alone fill full containers; sometimes the kitchen cabinets share containers with the other product categories of the same project; and sometimes, in one batch, we combine a dozen or more product categories from several projects of the same client into a few containers — always full containers, and for us this is routine, well-practised work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do kitchen cabinets imported into Canada need CANFER or TSCA Title VI certification?

The composite wood panels inside them do. Under SOR/2021-148, which has applied since January 7, 2023, cabinets are finished goods. Every hardwood plywood, particleboard, MDF or thin MDF panel in them must meet the section 6 limits. Each panel product type needs a declaration of certification based on either US TSCA Title VI certification or CANFER certification by an accredited third-party certifier.

Is a US TSCA Title VI label enough for cabinets going to Canada?

Only if it is bilingual. CANFER accepts the statement “TSCA Title VI compliant / conforme au titre VI de la TSCA”, and the Government of Canada’s factsheet recognises bilingual TSCA labels. Section 25 requires English and French text at least 2 mm high, so a label printed only in English is not enough.

Are kitchen cabinets from China subject to Canadian anti-dumping duties?

Kitchen cabinets do not appear on the Canada Border Services Agency’s Measures in force list dated September 17, 2026. However, stainless steel sinks within a defined bowl-volume range and decorative and other non-structural plywood from China are subject to anti-dumping and countervailing measures. Sinks or plywood shipped as separate items should be checked by the importer’s customs broker.

Which Chinese listed cabinet manufacturers mention Canada in their annual reports?

In the 2025 annual reports, Zbom Home Collection (SSE 603801) says it has won benchmark projects in Canada. GoldenHome Living (SSE 603180) names Canada among its growing overseas markets. Suofeiya Home Collection (SZSE 002572) lists Canada in its overseas dealer coverage. The 2025 reports of Oppein, Piano and Olo do not mention Canada.

How much clearance is required between a cooktop and the cabinet above it in Canada?

Under Article 9.10.22.2 of the National Building Code of Canada 2020, it is at least 750 mm, or 600 mm if the cabinetry is noncombustible or protected by a metal hood projecting 125 mm beyond it.
