What FBM Sourcing does for windows on a commercial project

FBM Sourcing manages the entire China procurement package for overseas construction projects, and windows are one of the categories we handle most often. For a window package we take the architect’s schedule or BOQ, match it to factories that already produce for the destination market (Australia, North America, the Caribbean, the Middle East and Europe), coordinate shop drawings and profile/glass specifications, arrange samples where the project needs them, inspect the finished units before shipment with our own FBM Sourcing QC team, and consolidate everything into full containers with the rest of the project package.

Typical window scopes we run: thermally broken aluminum casement and sliding windows, impact-rated units for hurricane zones, uPVC windows for cost-driven residential towers, and unitized or stick curtain-wall sections for low-rise commercial buildings. All quotations, invoices and shipping documents are issued by FBM Sourcing — you deal with us, and we carry the responsibility. For suppliers you nominate, we charge a 5% commission; for products we source for you, we quote a direct price.

Fixed Glass Windows

Fixed lites and picture windows sized to your glazing schedule; laminated, tempered, Low-E and insulated glass units to the local energy code.

Can FBM Sourcing supply impact-rated windows for hurricane zones?

Do you coordinate window shop drawings with the architect?

Yes. Shop drawings from the factory are checked by FBM Sourcing against your schedule and elevations before they go to your architect or contractor for approval, and revisions are managed until the drawings are signed off for production.

What is the minimum order for a window package?

We work by full container. A window package can fill its own container, or be consolidated with doors, railings, cabinets and other categories from the same project into a full container.

How are windows inspected before shipment?

Our own FBM Sourcing QC team inspects the finished units at the factory before shipment: dimensions against the schedule, hardware operation, glass type and marking, sealing and finish, and export packing. You receive photos and a report before the goods load.

How does FBM Sourcing charge for a window package?

FBM Sourcing verifies the factory holds current test reports for the exact profile-and-glass configuration being ordered (not a generic certificate on file), confirms hardware and gasket specification matches the schedule, and documents the approved sample before bulk production starts.
