What FBM Sourcing does for doors on a commercial project

Door packages on a construction project mix several factories — fire-rated steel doors, timber guest-room doors, aluminum-glass entrances, sliding and folding systems — and every leaf has to arrive with the right frame, hardware and certificate. FBM Sourcing manages the entire China procurement package for overseas construction projects, so we take the door schedule as one scope: matching each door type to a factory that already exports to your market, coordinating door schedules and hardware sets, arranging samples for finish approval, inspecting before shipment with our own FBM Sourcing QC team, and consolidating with the rest of the project package by full container.

We have supplied fire-rated steel doors and aluminum door systems for a Florida school project, fire doors and guest-room doors for hotel projects, and entrance and interior door packages for apartment buildings. All quotations, invoices and shipping documents are issued by FBM Sourcing — you deal with us, and we carry the responsibility. For suppliers you nominate, we charge a 5% commission; for products we source for you, we quote a direct price.

Can FBM Sourcing supply certified fire-rated doors?

Yes. We source steel and timber fire door sets from factories that hold the test reports your market needs (UL 10C, BS 476, EN 1634 or AS 1905), and we check labels and hardware preps during the pre-shipment inspection. We have supplied fire-rated steel doors for a Florida school project and fire doors for hotel projects.

Do you supply doors with the hardware fitted?

Door sets can be supplied with hardware preps only, or with hinges, closers, locks and seals fitted or packed per door, depending on how your installer prefers to receive them. The hardware schedule is agreed before production.

Can doors ship together with windows and other categories?

Yes. Doors are usually consolidated with windows, cabinets, railings and other categories from the same project into full containers — we always ship by full container.

How are doors inspected before shipment?

Our own FBM Sourcing QC team checks finished door sets at the factory before shipment: dimensions against the schedule, fire labels, finish, hardware function and preps, and export packing. Photos and a report go to you before loading.

How does FBM Sourcing charge for a door package?

What should we confirm about a door factory before placing an order?

FBM Sourcing confirms the fire-rated door label and hardware prep match the exact door construction being supplied — a factory’s general fire rating does not automatically cover every door core and frame combination — and checks the certificate’s expiry and tested configuration before production is confirmed.
