Top Synthetic Rattan Outdoor Furniture Manufacturers in China for Resort Projects (2026)

The Chinese manufacturers worth shortlisting for a synthetic rattan resort package fall into two groups. The first is a short list of outdoor furniture groups listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange whose own filings can be read: Yotrio Group (002489) and Zhengte (001238), both registered in Linhai, Zhejiang, and Higold Group (001221), registered in Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong. Of those three, only Yotrio’s 2025 annual report names PE rattan weave among its product constructions. The second group is far larger and has no listed parent at all: private weaving houses and aluminium frame shops, which have to be selected on test evidence and samples rather than on a name.

What Does Synthetic Rattan Actually Mean on a Resort Specification?

Synthetic rattan, PE rattan and all-weather wicker describe the same construction: an extruded polyethylene strand, usually pigmented through the body rather than surface coated, woven by hand over a rigid frame. On contract furniture that frame is almost always aluminium, because the weave is the visible surface but the frame carries the load and decides whether the piece survives salt in the air.

A synthetic rattan piece is therefore three purchases stacked together, and a specification treating it as one line item tends to get the weakest version of all three:

• The strand. Polymer type, cross-section (flat, half-round, round, split), colour through the body or on the surface, and the weathering evidence behind it.
• The frame. Alloy, wall thickness, welding and joint detail, surface treatment, and the corrosion evidence behind that.
• The soft goods. Cushion cores, outdoor fabric, drainage, zips, ties and how covers come off for storage or cleaning.

The Listed Outdoor Furniture Groups and What Their Own Filings Say

We name only companies whose exchange listing and annual report product lines we have checked ourselves, and describe each by what its filing says. We do not rank or score them, and the evidence to request is the same as for the manufacturer types below.

1. Yotrio Group (Linhai, Zhejiang) — Shenzhen Stock Exchange 002489

Listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in October 2010 and registered in Linhai, Zhejiang. Its 2025 annual report puts outdoor leisure furniture and related products at 97.6% of revenue, split by product into leisure furniture at 63.23% and sunshade furniture at 34.38%. Its description of the main business states that products are built mainly on metal frames, and names PE rattan weave and all-aluminium structures as the constructions the market favours, alongside a rising proportion of recycled plastic. The report also states that in the second half of 2025 the company moved part of its orders to finished-goods suppliers in Southeast Asia as a supply chain diversification response to United States tariff policy, which matters wherever country of origin is contractual.

2. Zhengte (Linhai, Zhejiang) — Shenzhen Stock Exchange 001238

Listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in September 2022 and registered in Linhai, Zhejiang, in the same cluster as Yotrio. Its 2025 annual report puts outdoor leisure furniture and related products at 91.33% of revenue, but the product split is heavily weighted to shade: sunshade products at 84.46% and leisure furniture at 6.87%. It names aluminium, steel and fabric as the main raw materials and does not identify rattan weave as a product line anywhere in the filing. The honest reading is a shade-led business with a genuine but secondary furniture line, so it belongs on a shortlist for parasols and canopies rather than woven seating.

3. Higold Group (Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong) — Shenzhen Stock Exchange 001221

Listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in July 2025 and registered in Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong. Its 2025 annual report puts home hardware at 88.15% of revenue and outdoor furniture at 6.73%, appearing both as an industry segment and as a product line. It describes the outdoor furniture business as a mature, high-end, design-led part of the group selling into more than 110 countries and regions, and does not name rattan weave as a product line. For a resort package this is a design-positioned range inside a much larger hardware business, not a volume weaving operation.

Yotrio’s 2025 annual report also describes the domestic industry as having formed mature clusters in Zhejiang and Guangdong, with a small number of large players and a long tail of small, fragmented producers. That is why a resort package usually combines one or two larger suppliers with several specialist private factories.

Manufacturer Types for a Synthetic Rattan Package

Everything below is described by manufacturer type rather than by company name, because the weaving population is large, mostly private and changes faster than any published list.

4. Weave houses working over bought-in aluminium frames

These specialists sit behind a large share of what reaches resort projects. They buy or sub-contract the frame and hold the weaving labour and strand libraries in-house, so pattern variety, colour matching and fast sample panels are the strength. The weakness is that frame quality is only as good as the shop they buy from. Evidence to request: strand weathering report naming the test method and exposure cycle, a statement of which shop supplies the frame, and frame alloy and wall thickness on a drawing.

5. Aluminium frame fabricators that add weaving

The mirror image: welding, jigs and surface treatment are in-house and weaving is added as a finishing operation. Joint and finish evidence is usually better, which suits heavier sections, long banquette runs and built-in structures, though the pattern range is narrower. Evidence to request: salt spray report for the coating system, welding and joint details, and a sample showing how the weave terminates at the frame.

6. Sun lounger and daybed producers

Loungers and daybeds are the highest-stress items in a resort package: adjustable backs, wheels, stacking and continuous exposure with no shade over them. Producers focused here carry the mechanisms and hinge hardware as a standing part of their range rather than adapting them per order. Evidence to request: cycle test evidence for the backrest mechanism, wheel and axle specification, stacking height and the damage test done on stacked items.

7. Outdoor cushion, sling and cover makers

Often a separate supplier even when the seating is single-sourced. What matters is the fabric, the foam or fibre core, drainage through the cushion, and whether covers can be replaced years later. Evidence to request: fabric weathering and colourfastness reports, core drainage description, a removable cover sample, and confirmation that the fabric will still be available for replacement orders.

8. Parasol, cabana and shade structure makers

Shade is quoted separately from seating and is the item most often under-specified, with fixing and wind requirements settled against the deck design before the order is placed. Evidence to request: test basis and wind evidence for the frame, canopy fabric weathering reports, base and fixing details, and spare canopy availability.

Which Standards Should a Synthetic Rattan Specification Name?

There are two separate evidence questions on a woven piece, and a report answering one is routinely presented as if it answered both. Strength and weathering are tested under different standards, and the European structural standards say so in their own scope text.

The scope text of the 2026 editions is worth reading twice. EN 581-2:2026 specifies minimum requirements for general safety and structural safety, including strength, reliability and stability, for outdoor seating for camping, domestic and contract use, and states that it does not include requirements for the resistance to ageing and degradation caused by light, temperature and moisture. EN 581-3:2026 says the same for outdoor tables. In plain terms, an EN 581 report tells you the chair will not collapse. It tells you nothing about whether the weave will still be the specified colour in three seasons.

That second question is what the ISO 4892-2 and ASTM G154 or D4329 exposure work is for, while salt spray to ASTM B117 covers the frame finish rather than the weave. Asking each report to state method, edition, cycle and total exposure time gets far more useful answers than asking whether the product is UV resistant. We publish no claimed resistance hours for any strand: a figure with no method, edition and cycle behind it is not evidence. Weathering evidence also belongs to one strand from one extruder in one colour, so a report for a dark grey flat strand does not carry over to the same factory’s natural round strand.

What Does a Resort Site Do to Woven Furniture That a Domestic Terrace Does Not?

Three things, all of which belong in the specification rather than in a warranty conversation afterwards:

• Salt and chlorine. Pool decks and beachfront positions attack the frame, fixings and hardware long before the weave, and mixed metals at the fixings are the usual failure point, so fasteners deserve their own specification line.
• Continuous occupancy. A lounger is sat on, dragged and restacked every day of the season, so mechanism cycle evidence and stacking damage matter more than static load figures.
• Housekeeping and replacement. Weight per piece, stacking height and whether covers come off without tools are operational decisions, not styling ones; and strand colour, fabric reference and cushion size have to be recorded at order stage so a top-up order after storm damage matches the deck.

How Should the Schedule and the Shipping Work?

Woven furniture is slow to sample and slow to correct. Weave pattern, strand colour and frame finish all have to be signed off on a physical sample, and a colour approved from a photograph is the most common cause of a package arriving in the wrong tone. Volume behaves differently from indoor furniture too. Woven lounge pieces are bulky and light, so an outdoor package reaches a full container on volume long before it does on weight. Sometimes, on a large project, the synthetic rattan furniture sets alone fill full containers; sometimes the synthetic rattan furniture sets share containers with the other product categories of the same project; and sometimes, in one batch, we combine a dozen or more product categories from several projects of the same client into a few containers — always full containers, and for us this is routine, well-practised work.
