China supplies every layer of a school or sports facility surface package: PVC and hardwood indoor sports floors, rubber flooring, prefabricated and poured running tracks, and artificial turf for pitches and landscape areas. Only three listed Chinese companies have a role in this category that we could verify, and the fact that matters most is that FIFA, World Rugby, FIH and World Athletics Class 1 certification is earned by the installed field, not by a roll leaving the factory. This guide names those companies, describes the other manufacturer types surface by surface, and lists the evidence to request.

We name a company only after confirming its stock exchange, its ticker and that it is still listed, and only where its own annual report or a federation’s published list shows what it makes in this category. Every other manufacturer is described by type, with sourced industry facts and the product evidence to request. Nothing is ranked or scored, and no company is linked.
Listed Manufacturers With a Verified Role in Sports Surfaces
1. Jiangsu Co-Creation Grass (CCGrass) — Shanghai Stock Exchange: 605099
- Role: artificial turf yarn and artificial turf in two families: sports turf for football, rugby, hockey, tennis and multi-sport fields, and leisure turf for landscape use. Its 2025 annual report summary says it mainly sells turf, with a small extension into infill, shock pads and installation.
- Where it produces: Huai’an in Jiangsu Province, Tay Ninh Province in Vietnam and West Java in Indonesia, according to the same report. Confirm which base will produce the order.
- Federation status: the company states that it is a preferred producer under the FIFA, World Rugby and FIH turf programmes. Each pitch still has to pass its own field test.
- Evidence to request: the laboratory report for the exact system quoted, covering yarn, pile height, backing, infill and shock pad; the programme listing for that product; the plant of manufacture; and destination chemical reports for the infill.
2. Jiangsu Jinling Sports Equipment — Shenzhen Stock Exchange: 300651
- Role: its 2025 annual report describes its main business as sports equipment and venue facilities, plus sports event services. A prefabricated rubber track product under its name is on World Athletics’ list of certified track surfacing products dated 1 December 2024.
- Not confirmed: the annual report does not describe indoor sports flooring as a product line, so it is listed here for running tracks only.
- Evidence to request: the World Athletics Product Certificate, the absolute thickness it nominates, and the installation specification that achieves it.
3. Beijing Oriental Yuhong Waterproof Technology — Shenzhen Stock Exchange: 002271
- Role: a building materials group with waterproofing as its core business, extended into mortars, coatings, insulation, adhesives and other lines, according to its 2025 annual report summary. A full polyurethane running track product under its name is on the same World Athletics list.
- Evidence to request: the Product Certificate, a safety data sheet for each liquid component, and test reports against the chemical limits of the destination market.
Why We Have Not Published a List of Named Factories for Indoor Sports Flooring
We found no listed Chinese company whose own filings describe PVC, hardwood or rubber sports flooring as a product line. Some listed sports groups are described online as flooring suppliers, but where the annual report does not say so, we do not repeat it. Indoor floors are therefore described by manufacturer type.
PVC and vinyl sports flooring manufacturers
These are resilient flooring factories with dedicated sports lines. Sport England’s design guidance describes vinyl, linoleum and rubber sports sheet as usually foam-backed to achieve point elastic or mixed elastic performance. Evidence to request: an EN 14904 or ASTM F2772 report naming the exact product and thickness, the elastic type tested, the fire classification the destination requires, and the formaldehyde and pentachlorophenol results that EN 14904 covers.
Hardwood sports floor system manufacturers
A timber sports floor is a system, not a board. The substructure of battens, plywood or resilient pads decides whether it performs as area elastic or combined elastic. A test report covers only the build-up that was tested.
Evidence to request: a drawing of the tested build-up matching the quote, the test report, the timber moisture content recorded at packing, and the acclimatisation and installation instructions.
Rubber flooring manufacturers
Rubber rolls and tiles cover fitness rooms and multi-use spaces around the sports hall. They are dense, so they reach a container’s weight limit long before its volume.
Evidence to request: thickness and density tolerances, and the destination’s fire classification and chemical reports.
Tracks and Turf Beyond the Listed Companies
Track and court surfacing manufacturers
World Athletics’ list of certified track surfacing products dated 1 December 2024 has dozens of China-based entries across prefabricated, full polyurethane, sandwich and spray-coat systems. Companies registered in Guangdong form the largest group, followed by Jiangsu, with Hebei, Shandong, Zhejiang and Hunan also well represented. Prefabricated tracks ship as rubber rolls; the other types ship as components built into the surface on site.
Evidence to request: the Product Certificate and its nominated absolute thickness, a component list with batch identification, and the installation method statement, including seam direction for prefabricated rolls. China’s 2024 school track standard addressed seams laid across the bends instead of along the running direction.
Artificial turf manufacturers
China is the main production base for artificial turf. The listed leader’s 2025 annual report puts Chinese producers at more than 60 per cent of global capacity, and a 2024 prospectus filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange by another turf maker describes producers with factories in Jiangsu, Shandong and Guangdong, some of which also produce in Vietnam, Indonesia or Mexico. Sports turf is installed with performance infill and a shock pad; leisure turf relies on sand infill alone.
Evidence to request: the laboratory report for the exact system, and the yarn and backing specifications, because FIH field certification checks that the installed turf matches the approved product.

Is the Certificate for the Product or for the Installed Field?
Most sports surface programmes test in two places: the product in a laboratory, and the finished installation. A factory can hold the first. Only the completed pitch, track or hall floor can hold the second, and the base, the installation and the infill decide it as much as the roll does.

EN 15330-1 itself notes that rugby union match surfaces need to comply with World Rugby’s Regulation 22. The practical consequence is contractual: the RFQ should name the programme and level the facility must reach, and the contracts should state who arranges the field test.
What Should School Projects Confirm About Chemical Content?
Requirements differ by market, so confirm them for the destination before the RFQ is issued rather than relying on a factory’s standard test pack. Three verified examples show how specific they get:
- China’s school standards: the Shaanxi Provincial Sports Bureau’s explanation of the 2024 companion standards says GB 36246-2018 focuses on safety, environmental protection and key physical indicators, and that the companion standards tightened requirements on short-chain chlorinated paraffins and MOCA content. A report against Chinese standards is not evidence for another market.
- Indoor floors under EN 14904: formaldehyde emission and pentachlorophenol content are among its characteristics, alongside reaction to fire.
- Infill in the European Union: under Regulation (EU) 2023/2055, the restriction on synthetic polymer microparticles applies to granular infill for use on synthetic sports surfaces from 17 October 2031. A pitch built now will still be in service then, so settle the infill type and its top-up supply before ordering the turf.
The same official explanation records test samples that did not match the surface actually installed, which is why every report should name the formulation and batch that will ship.
How Are Rolls, Tiles and Turf Loaded Without Crush Damage?
Each transit risk becomes a packing instruction agreed before production starts:
- Turf rolls: wound on rigid cores, wrapped, and loaded so that upper rolls do not flatten the pile below. Ask for the factory’s maximum stacking layers.
- PVC sports sheet: rolled on cores as the manufacturer specifies and never folded, because a roll lying across uneven cargo can take a permanent set.
- Hardwood systems: sealed against moisture pick-up, with moisture content recorded at packing.
- Rubber rolls and tiles: planned by weight, not by volume.
- Polyurethane track components: shipped under the transport information in each safety data sheet, with shelf life checked against the installation date.

When does the EU microplastics restriction reach artificial turf infill?
