Top Engineered Wood Flooring Manufacturers in China for Commercial Projects (2026)

Engineered wood flooring in a commercial office interior
Blog,Product Selection Guide

Engineered wood flooring for commercial projects in China comes from a few exchange-listed companies and a long tail of specialist mills, and what separates them is rarely the plank. It is whether the producer controls the platform under the veneer, and whether it can issue the formaldehyde, timber-legality and reaction-to-fire evidence your destination market demands. Three producers whose listing we checked against the exchanges on 20 September 2026 name wood flooring as a product line in their 2025 annual reports: Dare Power Dekor Home Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen Stock Exchange, 000910), Vöhringer Home Technology Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Stock Exchange, 603226) and Der Future Science & Technology Holding Group Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen Stock Exchange, 002631).

This is written for developers, general contractors, builders, commercial project owners, interior design and construction companies and FF&E solution providers pricing an engineered wood flooring package out of China. For the wider picture, our list of flooring manufacturers in China for commercial projects covers every family, and an earlier piece on engineered wood flooring sourcing explains construction rather than manufacturer structure.

What Does Engineered Wood Flooring Actually Mean on a Chinese Quotation?

China has a dedicated national product standard whose official English title removes most of the ambiguity: GB/T 18103-2022, Engineered wood flooring. It is a recommended national standard, published on 30 December 2022 and in force since 1 July 2023, and it replaced GB/T 18103-2013, now listed as abolished.

That matters because neighbouring families use similar words. GB/T 18102-2020 is the current standard for impregnated paper laminated wood flooring, in force since 1 July 2021; laminate has printed decor paper under a melamine wear layer, not a wood face. Rigid-core plank is a third family, which we do not open here because it has its own list of SPC and LVT flooring manufacturers in China.

Three parameters belong in the specification before anything is priced: total plank thickness, species and wear layer thickness in millimetres, and what the platform is. Wear layer thickness is set by your specification, not by a standard, and decides how often a commercial floor can be refinished.

Which Chinese Engineered Wood Flooring Manufacturers Are Listed Companies?

We name only producers whose listing we checked against the exchange’s own record and whose annual report shows the line inside the main business. None carries an ST or *ST prefix, and they appear in no particular order, with no score and no ranking.

Dare Power Dekor Home Co., Ltd. — Shenzhen Stock Exchange, 000910

The Shenzhen exchange record gives the full name Dare Power Dekor Home Co., Ltd., registered in Danyang, Jiangsu, listed since 30 June 1999. Its 2025 annual report describes the main business as flooring and wood-based panels: laminate, three-layer engineered, multi-layer engineered and PVC flooring under the Power Dekor brand, and fibreboard and particleboard under the Dare brand, used as flooring substrate and furniture board. Wood flooring is 60.13 per cent of main-business revenue there and board a further 24.55 per cent, and the company states annual capacity of 80 million square metres of flooring and 1.35 million cubic metres of fibreboard and particleboard. The point for a project is vertical integration: the group pressing the plank also makes the panel under it, so emission documentation runs through one chain, not two.

Vöhringer Home Technology Co., Ltd. — Shanghai Stock Exchange, 603226

The Shanghai exchange list shows the company as listed since 15 June 2017 with no delisting date. Its 2025 annual report states a main business of wood flooring, whole-house custom furniture, doors and wood veneer panels, with products including laminate, multi-layer engineered, three-layer engineered and solid wood flooring, and production bases in Shanghai and Danyang. Flooring is the largest product line by revenue there. It also discloses two sales channels, a dealer network and a project channel, and describes its market direction as mid to high-end hotels and medium to large projects — a producer already reporting a project channel has a team used to schedules and phased releases.

Der Future Science & Technology Holding Group Co., Ltd. — Shenzhen Stock Exchange, 002631

The Shenzhen exchange record gives the full name Der Future Science & Technology Holding Group Co., Ltd., listed since 11 November 2011. Its 2025 annual report states a main business of wood flooring and custom home products — laminate composite, engineered and solid wood flooring plus custom wardrobes and cabinets — with flooring at 65.28 per cent of product revenue. It describes the direct channel as project business: sold to project clients, with the company responsible for installation and revenue recognised once the installed flooring is accepted. Worth knowing before reading a quotation, because an export order is goods only and installation stays with your local trades.

Which Formaldehyde Rules Apply to Your Destination Market?

China. GB 18580-2025, Decorating and refurbishing materials for interior use — Limit on formaldehyde emission of wood-based panels and their products, is the current mandatory national standard, issued on 30 May 2025 and effective 1 June 2026; GB 18580-2017 is listed as abolished. If a supplier sends a report citing the 2017 edition, ask when it was issued and whether one to the 2025 edition exists. We have not reproduced the numeric limits here because we could not read the standard text at source; request the limit values with the report.

United States, federal. The rules sit in 40 CFR part 770. Section 770.10(a) applies the emission standards to composite wood products sold, supplied, offered for sale or manufactured, including imported, in the United States on or after 1 June 2018, whether the product is a panel, a component part, or incorporated into a finished good. Section 770.10(b), based on ASTM E1333-14, sets 0.05 parts per million for hardwood plywood made with a veneer core or composite core, 0.11 ppm for medium-density fibreboard, 0.13 ppm for thin medium-density fibreboard and 0.09 ppm for particleboard.

Engineered wood flooring usually meets the laminated product definition in section 770.3: a wood or woody grass veneer affixed to a particleboard, medium-density fibreboard or veneer core or platform. It also states that beginning 22 March 2024, laminated product producers are also hardwood plywood panel producers, except as provided at section 770.4, which keeps two cases outside that definition: veneer attached with a phenol-formaldehyde resin, and veneer attached with a resin formulated with no added formaldehyde as part of the resin cross-linking structure, in each case to a platform already manufactured in compliance with the part. Which applies depends on the adhesive the mill uses. Section 770.45(a) then requires panels or bundles to be labelled with the panel producer’s name, the lot number, the EPA TSCA Title VI third-party certifier number, and a statement that the products are TSCA Title VI certified.

California. The California Air Resources Board approved its composite wood products airborne toxic control measure on 26 April 2007, covering hardwood plywood, particleboard and medium density fibreboard and new finished goods containing them; its own programme page names flooring among the finished-goods examples.

Timber Legality: What the EUDR Says Today

Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 on deforestation-free products is the instrument, and its application dates have moved, so the version matters. In the consolidated text as at 26 December 2025, Article 38(2) provides that Articles 3 to 13, 16 to 24, 26, 31 and 32 apply from 30 December 2026. Article 38(3) provides that, except as regards products covered by the Annex to Regulation (EU) No 995/2010, those Articles apply from 30 June 2027 for operators that are micro or small undertakings established as such by 31 December 2024.

Annex I lists the goods by Harmonised System heading, and two are directly relevant: 4412, plywood, veneered panels and similar laminated wood; and 4418, builders’ joinery and carpentry of wood, including cellular wood panels, assembled flooring panels, shingles and shakes. Engineered wood flooring is normally declared under one of those, though the exact code belongs to your customs broker. See our explainer on timber legality documents for Chinese wood products sets out how chain-of-custody, the EUDR and the Lacey Act declaration sit together.

Do US Projects Face Trade Duties on Chinese Engineered Wood Flooring?

Yes, and the orders are live. The Federal Register notice of 8 December 2025 offering administrative reviews lists Multilayered Wood Flooring from the People’s Republic of China under antidumping case A-570-970 and countervailing duty case C-570-971. Rates are company-specific, are recalculated in each review and have repeatedly been changed by court decisions, so give your customs broker the producer name and HTS code and ask which rate applies. Our summary of US anti-dumping duties on Chinese cabinets, quartz and flooring explains how these orders are structured.

Fire Classification and the Rest of the Submittal

For a European project two current standards carry the product: EN 14342:2013, Wood flooring and parquet — characteristics, evaluation of conformity and marking (the 2005+A1:2008 edition is withdrawn), and EN 13489:2023, Wood flooring and parquet — multi-layer parquet elements. Reaction-to-fire classification runs through EN 13501-1:2018, also current. One trap: EN 14354:2017, wood veneer floor coverings, is withdrawn, so a report against it is not current evidence. Where Chinese standards are referenced, GB 8624-2012 remains current; GB 8624-2025 was issued on 31 December 2025 and takes effect 1 January 2027.

What Manufacturer Types Sit Behind Most Project Offers?

Most quotations reaching an overseas project come from one of four producer types rather than a listed company, and the type tells you more about risk than a brand name.

  • Vertically integrated groups. The platform and the finished plank are made inside one group, so emission documentation runs through a single chain and platform supply does not float with the panel market.
  • Flooring mills that buy the platform. The mill slices veneer, lays up, presses, profiles and finishes, and buys plywood or HDF in. Workable, but the emission evidence has to reach back to the panel supplier, who can change between orders.
  • Export-oriented OEM and ODM mills. These produce behind overseas flooring labels and often carry no domestic brand. Their submittal documentation is often the strongest of the four, because existing customers demand it, but their default specifications may follow another market’s rules.
  • Dual-family producers. Some groups quote wood flooring and rigid-core plank from their own lines, simplifying colour coordination when a schedule uses timber in amenity areas and resilient plank through repeated rooms. Volumes and mix across families are covered in our note on China flooring market and export data for 2026.

Evidence to request before a producer joins a shortlist. The GB/T 18103-2022 test report covering the exact construction offered, not a similar one. The formaldehyde emission test report against the standard your destination requires, with the issuing laboratory’s accreditation scope attached, plus the third-party certifier number for the United States. A written statement of what the platform is and who makes it. The reaction-to-fire classification report where the project calls for one, with the edition checked. The timber legality pack your import route needs. And wear layer thickness in millimetres plus the finish system by name, written into the quotation.

How Does FBM Sourcing Run an Engineered Wood Flooring Package?

We start from your schedule or BOQ rather than a catalogue: areas by finish, plank sizes, wear layer, finish system, destination and the standards named in the specification, translated into something a Chinese mill can price without guessing. As your sourcing partner in China we hold the documentary side, asking each mill for emission, legality and fire evidence in the edition the destination requires and reading the cover pages, not the summary emails.

Quotations we issue cover the goods; sea freight is quoted to you before shipment. On containers the reality is simple. Sometimes, on a large project, the engineered wood flooring planks alone fill full containers; sometimes the engineered wood flooring planks share containers with the other product categories of the same project; and sometimes, in one batch, we combine a dozen or more product categories from several projects of the same client into a few containers — always full containers, and for us this is routine, well-practised work.

After bulk production is finished and before shipment, our own team carries out one inspection at the factory, with photo and video records, checking plank dimensions, wear layer, finish, moisture content, carton marking and documents against what was approved. The inspection report goes to the client before the balance is paid. Where laboratory evidence is required it comes from an accredited laboratory; what we verify at the factory is that labels and documents on the pallets match the reports on file.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between engineered wood flooring and laminate on a Chinese quotation?

They fall under two Chinese national standards: GB/T 18103-2022, whose official English title is Engineered wood flooring, covers multi-layer composite planks with a sliced or sawn wood face over a wood platform, while GB/T 18102-2020 covers impregnated paper laminated wood flooring, whose visible surface is printed decor paper under a melamine wear layer. If a quotation cites neither, ask which applies first.

Which formaldehyde documents should we ask for if the project is in the United States?

Ask for evidence against 40 CFR part 770: a test report showing the applicable limit in section 770.10(b) using ASTM E1333-14, confirmation of how the plank is treated under the laminated product definition in section 770.3 and the exemptions at section 770.4, and the labelling required by section 770.45(a) — producer name, lot number, EPA TSCA Title VI third-party certifier number and a statement that the products are TSCA Title VI certified.

Does the EU Deforestation Regulation apply to our order yet?

Under the consolidated text of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 as at 26 December 2025, Article 38(2) applies the main obligations from 30 December 2026, and Article 38(3) sets 30 June 2027 for operators that are micro or small undertakings established as such by 31 December 2024, except for products covered by the Annex to Regulation (EU) No 995/2010. Annex I includes headings 4412 and 4418, so confirm now that the mill can supply geolocation and legality data before your applicable date.

Should we specify wear layer thickness or a hardness grade?

Specify wear layer thickness in millimetres together with the species, and treat any hardness or wear grade name as secondary, because thickness is measurable on a sample and on a delivered pallet, it determines how often a commercial floor can be refinished, and it is the parameter quietly reduced when a target is pushed down, while a grade name can be reassigned without anything changing physically.

Can one factory cover engineered wood and rigid-core plank in the same package?

Some producers run both families on their own lines, which helps when a schedule uses timber in amenity areas and rigid-core plank through repeated rooms, because colour matching stays inside one organisation. Where they do not, the two lines are sourced separately and coordinated at specification stage, which is normal provided colour references are locked before bulk production.
