Wall switches and socket-outlets for a hotel, apartment or office project are usually sourced from two kinds of Chinese manufacturer: large listed electrical groups whose filings name wiring accessories, and specialist wiring-device factories that build plates and mechanisms for a particular plug system. This 2026 guide names the two listed groups we could check against their own 2025 annual reports, describes the other source types without inventing names, and sets out the evidence that matters most: the plug system, the standard edition and the exact model.
Voltage and plug systems differ by destination, so the first decision is the market, not the factory. Our guide to voltage and electrical standards for products from China explains that step; for Australian projects, see SAA certification for electrical products.
How We Built This List
A company is named below only if its stock code and name appear in the Shanghai Stock Exchange listed-company register and its 2025 annual report summary, read in the original filing, describes a product group that covers wall switches and sockets or building electrical products. Other candidates we checked did not mention switches or sockets in the same document, so they are not named here. There is no score column.
1. Gongniu Group (603195, Shanghai)
Gongniu Group’s 2025 annual report summary lists converters (power strips), wall switches and sockets and digital accessories as one product group, alongside LED lighting and new-energy charging products. The same summary describes the company’s business as electrical connection, smart electrical and lighting, and new-energy products.
Evidence to request: the model range made for the destination plug system, the test report or certificate that names each quoted model, and the plate and colour options available in that range.
2. Zhejiang Chint Electrics (601877, Shanghai)
Chint Electrics’ 2025 annual report summary lists distribution, terminal, control, power-supply, electronic and building electrical products among its main businesses, and places the company in the low-voltage electrical industry. The summary does not itemise switches and sockets, so confirm the specific wiring-accessory range and the manufacturing entity before relying on it.
Evidence to request: the catalogue range for building electrical products in the destination system, model-level reports, and which company within the group manufactures and invoices.
3. Specialist Wiring-Device Factories
Many switch and socket ranges come from factories that make only wiring devices: plates, mechanisms, frames and back boxes. Their advantage is range depth within one plug system and finishes. Ask which plug systems they actually produce, since a factory building one system does not automatically build another.
Evidence to request: the list of plug systems in production, model-level reports, and the mechanism and plate part numbers that make up each quoted item.

Send us the electrical accessories schedule and the destination. We will split it by plug system and compare models and reports line by line.
4. Smart-Switch and Home-Automation Makers
Touch panels, dimmers, key-card switches and room-control keypads combine a wiring device with electronics. For hotel rooms, they may also need to work with the guestroom management system. Treat these as a separate line from standard switches.
Evidence to request: the protocol and integration method with the room-control system, the electrical and EMC reports for the exact model, and the replacement-part policy for electronic modules.
5. Plate and Finish Specialists
Designer finishes such as metal plates, glass fronts or custom colours are sometimes produced by a finish specialist and assembled onto a standard mechanism. Confirm that the tested model includes the plate you are buying; a report for a plastic plate does not describe a metal one.
Evidence to request: which plate and mechanism combination the report covers and the earthing arrangement for metal plates.
Which Standards Should the Specification Name?
The standard follows the destination system. At international level, IEC 60884-1:2022 covers plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes, and IEC 60669-1 covers switches for household and similar fixed electrical installations; the European adoption of the switch standard is EN 60669-1:2018. National systems such as the UK, Australian or North American ones have their own standards and approval routes. Name the standard and edition in the specification and ask for reports that cite it against the quoted model.
What to Compare Across Quotations
| Field | Evidence to compare |
|---|---|
| Plug system | Destination system and socket type for every line item |
| Standard | Standard number and edition cited in the report |
| Model identity | Mechanism, plate and frame part numbers that match the report |
| Rating | Rated current and voltage printed on the product |
| Installation | Back-box size and mounting method used on site |
| Finish | Approved finish sample for each plate colour |
How FBM Sourcing Handles a Switch and Socket Package
FBM Sourcing is a Guangzhou-based China sourcing agent and project procurement service. We split the electrical accessories schedule by plug system and product type, send one specification to each suitable production line, and compare the returned models and reports line by line. Send us the schedule through our BOQ and drawings page.
When bulk production is finished and before shipment, our own team carries out one inspection against the approved specification, covering quantities, model and rating markings, finish, labels and packing, with photos and video. Clients are welcome to join that inspection.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Chinese switch and socket makers are publicly listed?
Gongniu Group (603195) and Chint Electrics (601877) are listed in Shanghai. Gongniu’s 2025 annual report summary names wall switches and sockets; Chint’s names building electrical products among its businesses.
Can one factory supply sockets for several countries?
Only if it produces each plug system. Ask for the list of systems in production and a report for each quoted model.
Which standard covers socket-outlets?
At international level, IEC 60884-1:2022 covers plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes. Destination countries apply their own national standards and approval rules.
Are smart switches the same line as standard switches?
No. They add electronics and integration requirements, so they need their own specification and evidence.
What must match between the report and the product?
The mechanism, plate and frame part numbers, the rating and the standard edition.
