WPC composite decking manufacturers in China fall into two groups: specialist wood-plastic composite producers, two of which are listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (Anhui Sentai WPC Group, 301429, and Newtechwood Corporation, 301588), and diversified plastics groups with WPC subsidiaries, such as Anhui Guofeng New Materials (000859) and Nanjing Julong (300644). Around them sit hundreds of unlisted extruders making uncapped, capped and PVC-based boards. For an outdoor commercial deck, the board construction and the test evidence for the exact profile matter more than the name on the catalogue.

This guide is written for developers, general contractors, builders, commercial project owners, interior design and construction companies and FF&E solution providers specifying decks for hotels, resorts, multi-residential buildings, boardwalks and public spaces. The material decision is covered in our comparison of WPC and timber decking for resort projects and product families in WPC flooring and decking sourcing from China; this page maps who makes the boards and what evidence each type should supply.

How This List Is Organised

We name only Chinese companies whose exchange listing and stock code we have checked and that remain listed, and we describe their role from their own annual reports, 2026 interim reports and prospectuses. Every other entry is a manufacturer type, with the industry facts that shape it and the evidence to request. There is no scoring and no ranking.

Where Are China’s WPC Decking Manufacturers Based?

  • Regional concentration: Sentai’s 2023 prospectus, citing the wood-plastic composites committee of the China National Forest Products Industry Association, states that WPC producers are concentrated mainly in the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and Shandong.
  • Outdoor versus indoor: Newtechwood’s 2024 prospectus, citing the China Plastics Industry Yearbook (2021), counted about 130 outdoor PE-based WPC producers in 2020 against more than 400 indoor PVC-based producers. The label WPC covers two product families, and only one is exterior decking.
  • Standards drafting: the companies named as drafting organisations of China’s current standards for WPC flooring (GB/T 24508-2020) and for WPC decking, guard and fence systems (GB/T 29419-2023) are based mostly in Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, with others in Shandong, Jiangxi, Yunnan and Hunan.
  • Listed companies’ registered locations: Guangde and Hefei (Anhui), Nanjing (Jiangsu) and Huizhou (Guangdong). Sentai reports production bases in China, Thailand and Vietnam; Newtechwood is building capacity in Thailand and in Jian’ou, Fujian.

Newtechwood’s 2025 annual report states that China has overtaken the United States as the largest producer and exporter of WPC products, but that domestic producers are generally small and mainly reach overseas markets through ODM production for overseas building-material brands. A board sold under one name may therefore come from a different plant, so its test evidence must identify the plant and profile actually ordered.

Other WPC Decking Manufacturer Types in China

Most plants supplying commercial decks are not listed. Generation labels are not standardised: Newtechwood’s annual report defines second-generation WPC as boards wrapped in a 360-degree polymer layer, while Sentai’s annual report calls its lightweight co-extruded board third-generation. Specify by construction, not by label.

Uncapped solid and hollow WPC board producers

  • What they make: single-extrusion boards of wood or other plant fibre and thermoplastic, in solid and hollow profiles, brushed or embossed.
  • Industry facts: Newtechwood’s annual report describes exposed, uncapped boards as prone to fading, ageing and weaker wear resistance. Solid and hollow profiles of one compound behave differently under load, so a report on one does not cover the other.
  • Evidence to request: reports to EN 15534-4:2014 or ASTM D7032-21 for the exact profile, water absorption and swelling, weathering in the colour ordered, and span data for the intended joist spacing.

Co-extruded (capped) WPC decking producers

  • What they make: boards with a dense polymer cap extruded over a WPC core, capped on the visible faces or wrapped all round.
  • Industry facts: China has a building materials product standard for co-extruded WPC profiles, JC/T 2654-2022, in force since 1 April 2023, and a separate test method for peel strength between the cap layer and the substrate of PE co-extruded WPC, JC/T 2781-2023, in force since 1 July 2024.
  • Evidence to request: a cross-section showing capped faces and cap thickness, cap-to-core bond results, weathering on the capped face, and for pool decks, colour fastness to chlorinated water, for which China has a WPC test method, JC/T 2427-2017.

PVC-based and foamed composite board producers

  • What they make: boards on a PVC resin base, including co-extruded, foamed and lightweight profiles.
  • Industry facts: China’s forestry industry standard LY/T 3349-2023 covers PVC-based co-extruded bamboo-plastic composite profiles for outdoor use, and Sentai describes its WPC as made with recycled polyolefin or PVC. Its prospectus explains that its lightweight board uses microcellular foaming with glass-fibre reinforcement to reduce density, and describes it as flame-retardant.
  • Evidence to request: the base polymer stated on the data sheet, fire results for that exact formulation, and thermal expansion data, because results from a PE-based board do not transfer to a PVC-based one.

Aluminium substructure and aluminium-composite profile suppliers

  • What they make: aluminium joists, bearers, pedestals and clip systems, and aluminium profiles clad or co-extruded with WPC for pergolas, railings and structural edges.
  • Industry facts: EN 15534-4:2014 expressly excludes kits, meaning support rail profiles, cover strip profiles and hardware, so a decking report says nothing about joists or clips. China also has a forestry industry standard for aluminium-reinforced bamboo-plastic composite profiles, LY/T 3199-2020. Guards around the deck are covered in our list of railing and balustrade manufacturers in China.
  • Evidence to request: alloy and temper, section drawings, span tables for the board and joist combination, coating specification for coastal and pool sites, and clip and screw materials.

Which Standards Apply to WPC Decking in Each Market?

The evidence must name the standard your project uses. These are the editions we checked as current.

Three notes belong in the specification. In England, a balcony attached to an external wall is a specified attachment under the Building Regulations 2010: on a building with a storey at least 18 metres above ground containing dwellings, an institution or a room for residential purposes, its materials must be A2-s1, d0 or A1, except that the top floor layer may be A1fl or A2fl-s1 over an imperforate substrate. Amendments in force since 1 December 2022 removed the exclusion for rooms in hotels, hostels and boarding houses. ASTM D7032-21 treats the products it covers as combustible, so a flame spread index does not answer a non-combustibility requirement. AS 3959:2018 sets decking requirements for each Bushfire Attack Level from BAL-12.5 to BAL-FZ and refers to testing to the AS 1530.8 series; Standards Australia lists it and AS 4586-2013 as pending revision, so confirm editions. Our guides to AS 4586 slip ratings and fire rating standards for building materials explain these classification systems.

How Should WPC Decking Be Packed and Loaded for Export?

Composite boards are long and dense, and surface damage shows on a finished deck. Specify full-length pallet support, edge and end protection, bundle labels with profile, colour and production batch so each deck area is laid from one batch, and clips, joists and trims packed with their boards.

Sometimes, on a large project, the decking boards alone fill full containers; sometimes the decking boards share containers with the other product categories of the same project; and sometimes, in one batch, we combine a dozen or more product categories from several projects of the same client into a few containers — always full containers, and for us this is routine, well-practised work. How dense and light categories share a load is explained in consolidating goods from multiple factories into one container.

Evidence to Request Before Ordering WPC Decking

  1. Product identification: base polymer, core type, capped faces, cap thickness and producing plant.
  2. Performance reports to EN 15534-4:2014 or ASTM D7032-21 for the exact profile ordered.
  3. Durability results: weathering in the chosen colour, water absorption and swelling, and linear thermal expansion.
  4. Slip and fire evidence by the methods your market and deck location require.
  5. Substructure and fixing documents: joist alloy and section, span tables, clip and screw materials, and gap instructions.

As a sourcing partner, FBM Sourcing collects this evidence against the deck schedule, keeps boards, substructure and fixings matched to the documented system, and carries out inspection by our own team at the factory before shipment, with photo and video records.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which WPC decking manufacturers in China are listed companies?

Anhui Sentai WPC Group (301429) and Newtechwood Corporation (301588) are listed WPC specialists, while Anhui Guofeng New Materials (000859) and Nanjing Julong (300644) make WPC products through subsidiaries. All four trade on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

What is the difference between capped and uncapped WPC decking?

Capped boards have a dense polymer layer co-extruded over the composite core, on the visible faces or all round, while uncapped boards expose the composite itself. Specify capped faces, cap thickness and bond results rather than a generation label.

Which standard applies to WPC decking from China for a European project?

Decking profiles and tiles are specified under EN 15534-4:2014, with test methods in EN 15534-1:2014+A1:2017; support rails, cover strips and hardware fall outside it and need their own documents.

Can WPC decking be used on balconies of residential buildings in England?

On a building with a storey at least 18 metres above ground containing dwellings, an institution or rooms for residential purposes, including hotel rooms since December 2022, balcony materials must be A2-s1, d0 or A1, or for the top floor layer A1fl or A2fl-s1 over an imperforate substrate, so a board without one of those classifications cannot be used.

Does a Chinese GB/T test report prove compliance for an export deck?

No. GB/T 29419-2023, in force since 1 June 2024, is a useful domestic reference, but export projects need evidence to the standard their own specification names, such as EN 15534-4:2014, ASTM D7032-21 or an AS 4586-2013 slip classification.
