The commercial door manufacturers in China most relevant to hotel and multifamily projects are Jiangshan Oupai, TATA Wooden Door, Mengtian Home, Wangli Security, Panpan and Mexin — six large, publicly verifiable producers covering interior wooden doors, steel entry doors and fire-rated doors. Four of the six are listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, which means audited production capacity rather than trading-company claims. This list covers door leaves and doorsets for guest rooms, apartments and entries; for aluminum window and door systems, see our separate ranking of aluminum window and door manufacturers.

FBM Sourcing works with door factories across these categories as a china sourcing agent for hotel, apartment and institutional projects in the US, Australia, Europe and the Caribbean. The profiles below are written from the project buyer’s side: what each manufacturer actually makes, and which project type each one fits.

  • A typical 100-room hotel needs 200–300 doorsets once guest room entry, bathroom, connecting and back-of-house doors are counted.
  • Fire-rated doors for China-sourced projects are certified under GB 12955 with CCC(F) marking; export projects must additionally match destination standards (e.g. UL 10C, EN 1634, AS 1905.1).
  • Four of the six manufacturers profiled are Shanghai Stock Exchange listed (603208, 603216, 605268 among them) — capacity and revenue are public record.
  • Engineering-channel (project) pricing at these factories typically runs well below retail showroom pricing for the identical doorset — access is via project-volume orders, usually through a sourcing agent.

How Were These Six Manufacturers Selected?

Three filters. First, verifiability: every company here is a real, large-scale manufacturer whose existence, scale and product lines are publicly checkable — four via stock exchange listings, all via national brand presence. Second, project relevance: each has a dedicated engineering channel supplying developers, hotels and contractors in bulk, not just retail showrooms. Third, category coverage: between them the six span the three door families a commercial building actually buys — interior wooden doors, steel entry and security doors, and fire-rated doors in both wood and steel. A door schedule for one hotel routinely draws from two or three of these families at once; a typical 100-room hotel carries 200–300 doorsets across guest room entries, bathrooms, connecting doors and back-of-house.

One caution before the list: brand strength is not a substitute for project-specific verification. Model ranges, fire certificates and factory loading change; the right process is to shortlist by category fit, then have your sourcing agent verify current certification and production capacity at the factory against your door schedule.

1. Jiangshan Oupai (江山欧派)

Jiangshan Oupai is the heavyweight of China’s engineering-channel wooden door market. Based in Jiangshan, Zhejiang, and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company built its scale supplying molded and solid wood composite doors in bulk to China’s largest residential developers — exactly the industrialized, repeatable production model that suits multifamily and hotel projects with hundreds of identical doorsets.

Its fire-rated wooden door line is the strategic asset for hotel buyers: guest room entry doors that need a fire rating plus a wood face are Oupai’s core competence, produced on automated lines with the consistency that a 300-door order requires. The company’s engineering channel is organized around developer-style procurement — door schedules, project quotations, phased delivery — rather than one-off retail orders.

Location: Jiangshan, Zhejiang Province
Established: 1994
Classification: Publicly listed manufacturer (Shanghai Stock Exchange: 603208)
Key Products: Molded wooden doors, solid wood composite doors, fire-rated wooden doors, engineered doorsets for developer projects
Certifications: ISO 9001 / ISO 14001; CCC(F) fire-door certification to GB 12955

Verdict: for a multifamily or hotel project needing hundreds of consistent wooden doorsets — especially fire-rated guest room entries — Oupai’s engineering line is the first quotation to get.

2. TATA Wooden Door (TATA木门)

TATA is the most recognizable interior wooden door brand in China’s retail market — by common industry reckoning one of the country’s largest wooden door retail brands, with a dealer network covering effectively every significant Chinese city. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Beijing with production bases in multiple provinces, TATA built its position on finished interior door quality: paint film consistency, acoustic sealing and hardware integration ahead of the domestic pack.

For project buyers the read is different than for Oupai. TATA’s strength is the refined interior passage door — bedroom, bathroom, study — where finish quality is the selling point; its signature quiet-door details (magnetic latches, sealing systems) translate well to upscale apartment projects. It is less an industrial fire-door supplier than a finish-quality leader, so on hotel projects TATA-type product typically covers interior passage positions while rated entries come from a fire-door specialist.

Location: Headquartered in Beijing; production bases in multiple provinces
Established: 1999
Classification: Private brand manufacturer; among China’s largest wooden door retail brands
Key Products: Interior wooden doors, molded and solid wood composite doors, sound-insulating doorsets
Certifications: ISO 9001 / ISO 14001

Verdict: specify TATA-grade product where interior finish quality and acoustic comfort are the differentiators — upscale apartments and condo projects — and pair it with a dedicated fire-door line for rated positions.

3. Mengtian Home (梦天家居)

Mengtian, founded in 1989 and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (603216), is one of the longest-established premium wooden door manufacturers in China, based in Zhejiang. Its historical specialty is the higher end of the wooden door market — solid wood and veneered composite doors with furniture-grade lacquer work — and in recent years it has expanded from doors into coordinated whole-house wood products: wall paneling, integrated door-and-panel systems and matching cabinetry.

That integration is the interesting angle for hotel and premium multifamily specifiers. Where a design calls for the guest room door, wardrobe fronts and wall paneling to read as one coordinated wood package, a manufacturer that produces all three under one finishing system removes the color-matching risk that otherwise sits between two or three factories. The trade-off is positioning: Mengtian plays above the volume-engineering price point, which is exactly right for flagship floors and wrong for budget housing.

Location: Zhejiang Province
Established: 1989
Classification: Publicly listed manufacturer (Shanghai Stock Exchange: 603216)
Key Products: Premium solid wood and veneered composite doors, whole-house wood systems (doors, wall panels, matching cabinetry)
Certifications: ISO 9001 / ISO 14001

Verdict: the shortlist candidate when doors, paneling and joinery must match as one finish package on an upscale hotel or branded-residence project.

4. Wangli Security (王力安防)

Wangli, headquartered in Yongkang, Zhejiang — China’s hardware manufacturing capital — and listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (605268), is a specialist in steel security entry doors and the locking systems inside them. Founded in 1996, the company is unusual in making both the door and the lock at scale, and has pushed hard into smart-lock-integrated entry doorsets in recent years.

For multifamily developers, this is the apartment entry door category leader profile: steel security doorsets delivered with factory-fitted multi-point locking, in the door-plus-hardware configuration that apartment entries in most markets now expect. Steel entry doors also carry fire ratings in many configurations, letting one doorset satisfy both the security and the code requirement at the apartment entry — a spec consolidation worth real money across a 179-unit building.

Location: Yongkang, Zhejiang Province
Established: 1996
Classification: Publicly listed manufacturer (Shanghai Stock Exchange: 605268)
Key Products: Steel security entry doors, fire-rated steel doorsets, mechanical and smart locking systems
Certifications: ISO 9001; CCC(F) fire-door certification to GB 12955 (rated models); China security door standard compliance (GB 17565)

Verdict: the natural quotation for apartment entry doorsets where security rating, fire rating and factory-fitted locking need to arrive as one engineered unit.

5. Panpan Doors (盼盼)

Panpan, based in Yingkou, Liaoning, is arguably the most famous steel entry door name in China — a brand whose recognition was built over three decades of national advertising and whose products sit in tens of millions of Chinese homes. Established in the early 1990s, Panpan’s core is the steel entry and security doorset produced at very large volume, alongside fire-rated steel doors for corridor, stairwell and plant-room positions.

The project-buyer read: Panpan represents the proven, high-volume, value-engineered end of the steel door market. Where Wangli leads with lock integration and Mexin with category breadth, Panpan’s strength is straightforward — enormous production experience in the standard steel doorset, which makes it a benchmark quotation for budget-conscious multifamily, worker housing, institutional and back-of-house positions where the requirement is a solid, certified, repeatable door rather than a design statement.

Location: Yingkou, Liaoning Province
Established: Early 1990s
Classification: Private group manufacturer; one of China’s best-known steel door brands
Key Products: Steel entry and security doorsets, fire-rated steel doors
Certifications: ISO 9001; CCC(F) fire-door certification to GB 12955 (rated models)

Verdict: use Panpan-class product as the value benchmark for standard steel entries and back-of-house fire doors — the quotation every other steel door bid should be measured against.

6. Mexin (美心)

Chongqing-based Mexin, founded in 1989, is the generalist of this list: one group producing wooden interior doors, steel entry doors, fire-rated doors in both materials, and specialty doorsets, from one of the largest door manufacturing bases in western China. Mexin’s engineering channel has decades of experience supplying doors across full building projects rather than single categories.

That breadth is precisely its value to a hotel or mixed-use buyer. A full hotel door schedule — wood-faced fire-rated guest room entries, interior bathroom doors, steel stairwell and plant-room doors — normally forces a two-or-three-factory split; a comprehensive producer can quote the whole schedule, which simplifies certification paperwork, finish coordination and delivery phasing. The discipline required is line-by-line vigilance: in any generalist factory, some lines are stronger than others, which is exactly what factory-level verification before ordering is for.

Location: Chongqing
Established: 1989
Classification: Private group manufacturer; comprehensive door producer (wood + steel + fire-rated)
Key Products: Wooden interior doors, steel entry doors, fire-rated wood and steel doorsets, specialty doors
Certifications: ISO 9001 / ISO 14001; CCC(F) fire-door certification to GB 12955 (rated models)

Verdict: the one-schedule candidate — when the project wants a single manufacturer to quote the entire mixed wood-and-steel door schedule, Mexin-type breadth is the shortcut.

Which Type of Manufacturer Fits Your Project — and When Do You Need an Agent?

Read the list as categories, not just names. Volume wooden doorsets with fire ratings → an Oupai-type engineering line. Finish-critical interior doors → a TATA/Mengtian-type quality leader. Apartment entries → a Wangli-type steel-plus-lock specialist, benchmarked against a Panpan-class value quotation. Mixed schedules wanting one source → a Mexin-type generalist. For deeper category guidance, see our guides to wooden door sourcing, fire-rated door sourcing, hotel room door sourcing and the construction question behind most door specs — solid core vs hollow core doors.

Where a sourcing agent earns its 5–8% fee is the layer brand names cannot give you: verifying at the factory that the certification on paper matches the doorset in production (all inspections performed by FBM Sourcing’s own QC team at the factory, documented in photos and video); accessing engineering-channel pricing that never appears in a showroom; reconciling Chinese GB fire certification with the UL 10C, EN 1634 or AS 1905.1 requirement your destination code actually enforces; and consolidating doors with the rest of the building materials and FF&E package into shared containers. A 40HQ loads roughly 250–350 packed door leaves depending on construction — meaning a full hotel door schedule often ships in a single container when planned as one lot.

Which Manufacturer Should You Choose for Which Door Package?

A door schedule is a set of positions, not one product — so match each manufacturer to the positions it actually serves best. Use this table to turn the six profiles above into a position-by-position shortlist, then have two or three factories price the same schedule against each other.

Evidence to Request Before You Shortlist

Every door factory will show you a certificate wall. What matters is whether the paperwork matches the doorset you are specifying — put these items in your RFQ and read slow or partial answers as a signal:

  • Fire-door type-test reports and certificate numbers for the exact leaf construction and rating on your schedule — CCC(F) to GB 12955, plus the destination standard your code enforces (UL 10C, EN 1634 or AS 1905.1)
  • The factory’s own laboratory data for acoustic performance and formaldehyde emission grade on the specified core and finish
  • Photographed project references for comparable hotel or multifamily door packages, ideally delivered to your destination market
  • A physical sample doorset — leaf, frame and hardware prep — with the sampling lead time quoted in writing
  • A written production and phased-delivery commitment against your door schedule, including the export packing specification
  • Warranty terms on paper — finish film, core stability and hardware — with the claim process defined

On FBM door packages none of this is taken on trust: our own QC team checks each document against the doorsets actually coming off the line during staged factory inspections, recorded in photos and video, before anything is loaded.
