How does a China sourcing agent source railings and balustrades for a hotel or apartment project? What you are watching is a railing inspection before shipment. Every post, every panel, every bracket is checked against the drawings and counted. Railings are custom metalwork. Every balcony, stair and pool edge on your plans has its own length, angle and fixing, and one missing bracket is one balcony your installer cannot finish. Then the factory draws it properly: every run, every post, every corner, every fixing. Finish, glass and hardware are confirmed on the same drawings, and nothing is cut until you sign. After that the profiles are cut, welded or assembled, and finished, powder-coated, anodized or brushed, so hundreds of meters across the building match in section, color and detail.

Then the inspection you saw at the start. Our FBM Sourcing QC team measures the runs and the posts against the drawings, checks the welds and the finish, tests the hardware and the fixings, and counts every component: posts, panels, brackets, screws. Nothing should be short when your installer opens the crates. You get the report, with photos and video, before the goods move.

Every component is protected on its own and bundled by location, so the balcony rails for one level stay together, then crated for ocean freight. Sometimes, on a large project, the railings and fencing alone fill full containers; sometimes the railings and fencing share containers with the other product categories of the same project; and sometimes, in one batch, we combine a dozen or more product categories from several projects of the same client into a few containers — always full containers, and for us this is routine, well-practised work. The loading report tells your site which crate belongs to which floor.

Every shipment comes with installation drawings keyed to your plan, and if your installer has a question on site, you ask us directly. Load and code compliance is stated from the factory’s test documentation for that system; installation to local code stays with your installer.
